Fiber optic internet installation in the right-of-way and easements has begun in the City of Medina! Fiber, otherwise known as broadband, is a private utility such as gas or electric. Midcontinent Communications (Midco) signed a franchise agreement with the City in January 2025 and will be working throughout the city, with installations to occur over the next year.
